Description

IRC Côte d’Ivoire request expressions of interest for a long-term advisory position for capacity building to local NGO partners within a proposed HIV prevention and care project in the Central North and West zones of Côte d’Ivoire. The Organizational Development Coordinator will be responsible for leading the organizational capacity building for local sub-grantee partners. The Organizational Development Coordinator will ensure that by the end of the project, partner organizations have the organizational, governance, and technical capacity to compete for and effectively use USG or other funding and provide technical assistance to other community based organizations,


Responsibilities:
This position works closely with local NGO partners and the local health system.
•Develop institutional capacity building modules that are effectively tailored to the needs of sub-grantee partners. This will include all aspects of institutional capacity building from capacity assessment, through actual training, to the development/implementation of behavioral and capacity change measurement tools
•Build the technical and managerial capacity of sub-grantee partners
•Provide day to day technical support to sub-grantee partners on institutional, financial, logistical, and human resources management and good governance
•Develop performance measures that will determine technical and management competency of all partner organizations.
•Ensure partners have financial and procurement systems in place that meet USG standards.

Requirements
•Postgraduate degree in NGO Management, International/Institutional/Organizational Development, or similar relevant social science
•Excellent professional track record with at least five years of international management level experience within NGO leadership working on organizational development programs in conflict or post conflict environments.
•Facilitation and training experience
•Fluent in French and English
•Additional qualities: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, ability to handle pressure well, ability to improvise, flexibility, budgeting knowledge, planning, supervision skills, adaptability to transitions.
